Installation Instructions

Please note that you will need to remove your Pelikan M800 nib and feed from the collar that holds the nib assembly together. This disassembly can be accomplished with a nib block, a punch, and a watch repairman’s hammer. You must be careful doing this disassembly, as the Pelikan M800 feed has an alignment feature, a small rectangular boss, that is fragile and can be damaged during removal of the collar. This alignment feature will be used to align the feed to this housing.

If you do damage this alignment feature, you can still use this housing, and and still use your nib and feed with the stock Pelikan collar. Alignment isn’t necessary, but you will have to use more care during assembly. Also, some users may wish to remove the alignment feature, as it limits how deeply you can set the nib and feed into this housing, which may be necessary for some pens that have a limited amount of room in the cap for nib clearance.
